Join Us for Summer Reading 2025

Color Your World

Join us for our Summer Reading Program.  The West Fork Summer Reading Program begins on the first Saturday of June and ends on the Last Saturday of July. There will be crafts, snacks, and, of course, READING.  Win weekly prizes and challenge yourself to see how much you can read before the end of the summer. Check out our upcoming summer events here. The Summer Reading Program is to encourage children and adults of all ages to engage in reading throughout the summer months to promote a love of reading and literacy.  It provides opportunities for the community to come together and engage in literacy related activities.

All ages are invited to sign up for our Summer Reading Program.  Even infants participate when their caregivers read aloud to them.

How it works:

  1. Sign up for summer reading.
  2. Pick up a summer reading record booklet to participate in the summer reading program. You can get one when you come to the Summer Reading Kickoff or at the library at the beginning of June.
  3. Complete weekly challenges to win prizes.  Adults have the option of entering their name in a drawing instead of getting a weekly prize. To receive the prize, you must bring your Reading Record Booklet with you to the library.
  4. If you complete all of the weekly challenges,, you will receive a completion prize at the Summer Reading Finale. Make sure that the booklet is submitted by the due date listed on the cover.
  5. If you keep a record of your time, you may win an additional prize for most minutes read.
