We are excited to celebrate our Summer Readers at the Summer Reading Finale. This Saturday, join us for lunch & hanging out with a traveling petting zoo. We will be handing out prizes to our Most Minutes Read in the following age categories: 0-7, 8-12, 13-17, 18 and up, overall 0-12 and overall 13 and up. We will also be awarding prizes to our shelf completers who turned in their reading logs.
Local artist, John Ford, will be leading this informal outdoor workshop we will create Spring centerpieces with predominantly foraged and locally grown natural fresh materials with an emphasis on rich texture, mechanics and utilizing materials readily found in nature. You will create and take home your own one-of-a-kind botanical masterpiece with readily available material such as bark, lichen, mushrooms, spring flowers, ferns, spring vegetables, twigs, logs, succulents, and air plants. All materials are provided. Please register here. Attendees are encouraged to bring soft gardening gloves, garden clippers and any botanical materials from your yard that inspire you, flowers and branches blooming or otherwise.
